Fiido Q1S vs. Fiido Q2: Which Seated E-Scooter is For You?

Fiido Q1S vs. Fiido Q2: Which Seated E-Scooter is For You?

Here at Electric Kicks, we mean it when we say we have an electric ride for everyone.

We have electric bikes for active cyclists who appreciate the help of pedal assist to ride more swiftly or tackle tall hills. On the other hand, riders who need something more portable—and prefer not to pedal—often end up choosing one of our electric scooters

But there’s one more choice to consider.

If the idea of an electric scooter appeals to you but you would rather sit during your commutes, our seated electric scooters are for you.

Right now, we have two excellent options in our inventory: the Fiido Q1S and the Fiido Q2. Both manufactured by global brand Fiido, these two seated e-scooters promise great performance and reliability. With either option, you should expect durable components, impeccable engineering, and rider-friendly design.

However, although both are seated e-scooters, each offers a unique set of functions and features that cater to different riders.

So, if you’re interested in a seated e-scooter but couldn’t decide between the Fiido Q1S and the Fiido Q2, this blog is for you. Let’s compare the two to see which one is the better fit for your lifestyle.

Fiido Q1S vs. Fiido Q2: Head to Head Comparison

Because the Fiido Q1S and the Fiido Q2 are designed for two different demographics, it’s important to understand the two models and how they meet the specific needs of each rider.

Design and Build

The two seated e-scooters are equipped with plush seats that make even long-haul rides comfortable. In addition, both feature customisable designs that make it easy for you to add accessories or components, or make modifications to make the ride truly yours.

Form-wise, perhaps the most obvious difference between the two models is the size. Weighing only 18 KG, the Fiido Q1S is smaller and more lightweight, which makes it the better choice if you value portability. Meanwhile, the Fiido Q2 is much heavier at 29 KG and sports a bulkier, more robust look.

The Fiido Q1S is also more notable for having high-rise handlebars that produce an upright riding position. On the other hand, the Fiido Q2 comes with an adjustable stem that can be adjusted to suit your height or riding style.

In this aspect, both seated e-scooters are characterised by comfortable seats and upgradable designs, but if you value portability, the Fiido Q1S is the way to go.

Power and Speed

Even though both are equally comfortable to ride, the difference between the Fiido Q1S and the Fiido Q2 is like day and night when it comes to power and speed.

Designed for beginner riders and city commuters, the Fiido Q1S is powered by a 250W motor and reaches speeds of up to 20 KPH. This is ideal for short commutes over generally flat terrain or for riders who are more comfortable with moderate speeds.

In contrast, the Fiido Q2 is one of our more powerful electric rides. Equipped with dual motors—400W front and 800W rear—this e-scooter comes out of the box with a 25 KPH top speed. However, once unlocked, it will propel you to higher speeds of up to 45 KPH.

Aside from the ability to go faster, thanks to robust motors, the Fiido Q2 is better equipped to handle difficult terrain and steep inclines. Thus, if power is a non-negotiable for you, this seated e-scooter is the better choice.

Range and Battery

The range you need in an electric scooter depends mostly on your riding habits. For instance, commuters or those running short errands may not require a lot, but long-distance riders and adventurers will definitely need more.

If you fall under the first category, the Fiido Q1S is an excellent choice. With its 36V battery, it can cover up to 55 KMS on a single charge. Now, while this range may seem shorter than the Fiido Q2’s (which we’ll discuss later), it’s actually impressive for its category, placing it at the higher end of the average range for commuter e-scooters.

But if you need more out of your electric scooter, the Fiido Q2 might be the e-scooter you’re looking for. Its massive 48V (1253Wh) delivers an incredible range of up to 100 KMS on a single charge—a feature that remains uncommon among e-scooters today. Plus, as a seated model, the Q2 allows you to cover distances more comfortably.

Ride Quality

Fiido electric rides are known to be smooth and stable, and our seated electric scooters are no exception. Depending on your riding needs, you will find either the Fiido Q1S or the Fiido Q2 well-suited for specific terrains.

An upgrade to the original Fiido Q1, the Fiido Q1S adds a front and rear suspension that work really well to straighten out bumps and vibrations from city streets. The Q1S also utilises 12 x 2.125” inflatable rubber tyres that provide extra shock absorption.

With the Fiido Q2, on the other hand, you have the option of dual drive or rear drive, so you can adjust your ride for improved range or added power based on your current riding situation. A suspension fork with 30mm travel delivers a higher level of shock absorption compatible with off-road trails, while powerful hydraulic brakes ensure smooth and safe stopping, no matter how fast you’re going.

Safety and Other Features

Because the Fiido Q1S and the Fiido Q2 both contain a considerable amount of power, it’s imperative that they should be equipped with the right safety features. Fortunately, this aspect is not overlooked among Fiido electric rides.

The Fiido Q1S has safety features fit for urban commuting: a bright LED headlight and disc brakes. In addition, it includes extra useful storage options, specifically a front basket and a frame bag. And for families, your kids can easily ride you with, as the Q1S also comes with a child seat.

Meanwhile, because it is meant for rougher riding, the Fiido Q2 has more safety features. As aforementioned, it has hydraulic brakes that deliver reliable stopping even on rougher terrain. Furthermore, it comes with a more comprehensive lighting system with a headlight, tail light light, brake light, and integrated turn indicators. The Fiido Q2 is also rated IP54 for weather resistance, so you can ride outdoors more freely.

Wrapping Up

The Fiido Q1S and the Fiido Q2 are both great seated electric scooters. While designed for two different demographics, neither one falls short of expectations.

For daily commutes and quick errands around town, the Fiido Q1S is the perfect e-ride. Lightweight and portable, it delivers just enough power and speed to efficiently go from point to point. Furthermore, its good range, safety features, and stable ride complete the package.

On the other hand, the Fiido Q2 is your top choice if you’re looking for a more comfortable way to conquer the outdoors. Engineered to go over difficult roads and rough terrain, the Q2 features powerful brakes, robust suspension, and durable components to handle various riding conditions.
