IT REMAINS THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE APOLLO ENGINEERING TEAM TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE CORE COMPONENT OR SCOOTER ARE DEFECTIVE DUE TO IMPROPER INSTALLATION AND IF THEY ARE COVERED BY THE LIMITED WARRANTY.

The event for the handle bar change happed well over 3 months. Before this review invite happened.
As far as the handle bar replacement it was fitted along with a service charges. No drama there.
Few months after the handle bar purchase I discovered a 5-7mm crack on the stem and took it back. Now the scooter is out of warranty but this crack from the stem which falls under different warranty as it’s a failure of a physical part.
I took it to the point of sale the day before a public holiday. They took photos and informed me they will get back to me after contacting the manufacturer as this was physical defect. I have not heard anything further than that and that was a month ago. somehow I get email this review prompt about the handle bar but not the support about the crack on the stem.
So here is my view.
For the handle bar replacement I would give it 4. This is because they have replaced the item as intended.
As for the after sales service I would give a 2. This is because I am still in waiting a response to the crack after a month.
As for the scooter having rode it for a year and potentially done over 5000km. It’s a flat 2.
In my opinion build quality and design is very poor.
Handle bar consistency rattles after securing with the bolts.
Pumping the tire is difficult as the nosle is almost flushed to motor.
Suspension is making squeaky noise.
Grip on the tire is mediocre specially if you are traveling at 40km/h

There were no instructions in the box and ended up with 6 extra screws after installation. Being technically minded I worked it out.
The positives are front indicators, the buttons are larger and can now push them without having to look down, the throttle is smoother and the pads are larger so easier to locate.
The stand appears a bit stronger ( time will tell )
The only negative is that the under full Australian midday sun the indicators can be little difficult to see.
If you are in Europe etc, then all is well.

I'd been experiencing random and sudden e-braking during rides for a long time. This upgrade solved that issue for me and now I (finally) love my scooter. The handle bar indicators are great but add to the width of the scooter, which (IMO) is now too wide. The new throttles are really smooth and haven't stuck once but feel hollow and a little cheap. The alignment/angle of the throttles and brakes were perfect for me out of the box and let you press the new solid buttons for indicating (and power/headlights) without looking or thinking. To my surprise, the display is brighter and sharper than my 2022 display. The new stand is slightly stronger and more stable. I never fold my scooter and can't comment on the new latch.
In summary, it's annoying that I needed to buy this upgrade kit to fix my scooter but I'm grateful they released it at all. Based on this 2023 kit, Apollo is getting closer to being the default choice for a premium commuter scooter.
