DESCRIPTION
Segway is no stranger to crafting some of the most reliable and durable electric scooters around, and its latest two-wheeler to impress is the D38E. Starting with its design, this kickscooter is built with a double tube frame that provides a stable structure.
And with such a solid foundation, it allows for a maximum load capacity of 120 kg, which is rare in an entry-level kick. Plus, despite that strong construction, the D38E is made to be portable at only 16.3 kg. It has a 2-step folding mechanism, which is achievable with only one hand. As such, this scooter is easy to carry and store.
As far as its performance specs go, it meets and exceeds the expectations of beginners and commuters alike. It’s equipped with a 350W motor with a peak power output of 500W. Thus, providing this e-scooter with enough power to reach a top speed of 25 km/h.
The D38E also produces enough torque for a climb angle of 20%. Not to mention, it has 3 riding modes plus a walk mode to give you the chance to personalise your riding experience based on different situations or your skillset.
What’s more, it comes with a 367 Wh (10200 mAh) battery that grants it a maximum range of up to 38 km.
Safety is a non-issue for the D38E with its electronic anti-lock braking system at the front and a drum brake at the rear. Together, they work as a unit to provide great stopping power to ensure the safety of the riders and those around. Plus, it has high-powered lights to amp up the visibility level and keep you protected while riding at night.
Comfort is also at the heart of the D38E as you’re guaranteed a pleasant ride around town. Thanks to its huge 10-inch air tyres, you can experience a smooth ride despite some little bumps and cracks on the road. It even has a large footboard to give you plenty of balance space as you manoeuvre your way along the city streets.
